El Apple Park en avanzada construcción.
En las últimas horas se han filtrado nuevas imágenes a vista drone de uno de los proyectos más ambiciosos de Apple, el Apple Park. Os recordamos que esta infraestructura está siendo construida en Cupertino (California) y sustituirá al ya emblemático Apple Campus. Si el mes pasado era Duncan Sinfield el que nos acercaba los avances de esta obra a través de fotografías y vídeos capturados mediante un drone, esta vez fue el usuario de YouTube Matthew Roberts el que se encargó de mostrar a sus seguidores los progresos del campus de Apple.
El Apple Park, en un estado avanzado de construcción
Tal y como muestra el vídeo que os venimos a mostrar, la construcción del Apple Park parece ir acercándose a su forma final poco a poco y según algunas fuentes podría estar a punto para la presentación del iPhone 8, pero antes de analizar dichos avances, os dejamos con las imágenes a vista de drone de este mes de agosto:
Como podemos apreciar en el vídeo de Roberts, el anillo central parece casi terminado, y es que desde hace unos meses corre el rumor de que ya habría un número importante de empleados de Apple trabajando en dicho edificio. Algo que nos sorprende es que, si comparamos el vídeo de julio con el de este mes, no podemos ver cambios muy significativos entre uno y otro, aunque quizás lo más reseñable sea que ya se han instalado todas las placas solares en el techo del anillo central, placas solares que serán las encargadas de proporcionar el 75 % de la energía que consumirá el Apple Park.
La energía es algo que preocupa y bastante a los de Cupertino, y con estas placas solares pretenden cubrir una buena parte de las necesidades energéticas del campus, mientras que el resto será proporcionada por unas celdas de combustible previamente instaladas. Además, el anillo central está construido de tal manera que la sombra se encargue de mantener el edificio fresco. Según la propia compañía, el Apple Park no requerirá de ningún tipo de calefacción ni sistema de enfriamiento durante 9 meses del año (a esto sí que se le llama ahorrar).
El ‘Steve Jobs Theater’, posible escenario de presentación del iPhone 8
Una de las hipótesis con las se están trabajando últimamente es que el Apple Park, y más concretamente el pabellón que recibirá el nombre del difunto Steve Jobs, serán el escenario de la presentación de los distintos dispositivos que Apple va a presentar este año, y sí, también del ansiado iPhone 8.
Esta edificación construida en honor a Steve Jobs albergará un escenario subterráneo y contará con una capacidad para 1000 personas, por lo que podría ser un lugar idóneo para llevar a cabo la ‘keynote’ en la que se presente el nuevo iPhone, además de los distintos productos en los que Apple esté trabajando.
